  • Principia – Caminhos da Iniciação Científica

    A revista eletrônica Principia – Caminhos da Iniciação Científica – é uma publicação on line da Pró-Reitoria de Pesquisa da UFJF com o objetivo de divulgar os trabalhos premiados no Seminário de Iniciação Científica da UFJF, realizado anualmente. Os trabalhos são escolhidos por consultores externos, bolsistas de produtividade do CNPq. De 1994 à 2005, a Revista Principia era impressa e registrada no cadastro de “Número Internacional Normalizado para Publicações Seriadas” (International Standard Serial Number), sob o código 1518-2983. Em 2007 passou a ser on line, com acesso gratutito aos artigos (versão PDF). Pró-Reitoria de Pesquisa da UFJF.

  • QUARKS: Brazilian Electronic Journal of Physics, Chemistry and Materials Science


    QUARKS: Brazilian Electronic Journal of Physics, Chemistry and Materials Science is a quarterly scientific journal published by the Institute of Physics of the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora-MG, Brazil. Original contributions (in English) are welcome, which focus on all areas of Physics  and their interfaces with Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmacy and Biology. Neither authors nor readers have to pay fees. The journal has an editorial team of scientists drawn from regions throughout Brazil and world, ensuring high standards for the texts published. The following categories are available for contributions:



    1. Full papers,  2. Reviews, 3. Papers on Education, 4. History of Physics, 5. Short communications, 6. Technical notes, 7. Underrepresented Minorities in Sciences,  8. Letters to the Editor


    The Quarks journal also publishes a number of special issues in addition to the regular ones.


    The central objectives of Quarks are threefold: (i) to provide the general scientific community (at regional, Brazilian, and worldwide levels) with a formal channel for the communication and dissemination of the Physics-related literature output by publishing original papers based on solid research and by reporting contributions which further knowledge in the field; (ii) to provide the community with open, free access to the full content of the journal, and (iii) to constitute a valuable channel for the dissemination of Physics-related investigations.
